Places to visit inside the city
- The Old Fortress, built by the Venetians.
- The New Fortress, built between 1572 and 1645.
- Pontikonisi and the Byzantine church.
- The Palace’s Municipal Library which features a splendid collection of art by Corfiot painters.

Outside the city
- The Achillion, the palace of Sissy, Queen of Austria that was built in 1890.

- The big town on the South side, Lefkimmi.
- Kavos, with its vast sandy beach, ideal for a variety of water sports that are offered there.
West of the city
- The area of Palaiokastritsa with its beautiful landscape. On the top of the cliff nearby is the Palaiokastritsa monastery which offers a thrilling view.

- Pelekas, for its breathtaking 360o views of the island. Here you can catch some of the most beautiful sunsets.
